Claiming your Tax Refund is a breeze with these 3 easy steps<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Step 1:<\/strong> Shop at Participating Retailers<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since all refunds (cash or non-cash) are processed by \u201cGlobal Tax Free Pte Ltd\u201d (the approved Central Refund Counter Operator), not Singapore Customs, you have to shop at its participating stores. We have listed all Tourism Refund Scheme participating shops at Changi Airport just above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Browse and shop at participating stores proudly displaying the “Tax Free” logo, where you’ll enjoy tax-free shopping. Ensure to present your passport to the retailers to validate your eligibility under the Tourist Refund Scheme. Upon purchase, the retailer will issue an electronic eTRS transaction along with your passport details. Hold on to your original receipts provided by the retailer until you receive your refund.<\/p>\n\n\n
Please be aware of certain limitations regarding refunds. These include services such as car rental, and entertainment, along with goods consumed in Singapore, purchased for business purposes, or exported by freight. Additionally, refunds are not applicable to accommodation expenses in hotels, hostels, or similar establishments, and items not presented for inspection.<\/div>

Head to the eTRS self-help kiosks at Changi Airport with your passport, purchased goods, and receipts before checking in your items. For checked-in items, visit the kiosks at the Departure Check-in Hall before Departure Immigration. For hand-carry items, utilize the kiosks at the Departure Transit Lounge after Departure Immigration. Scan your passport and follow the simple on-screen instructions to process your refund efficiently.<\/p>\n\n\n
After processing your transaction at the eTRS self-help Kiosk, be sure to read the displayed information carefully. If instructed at the kiosk to present your goods for physical inspection at the Customs Inspection Counter, remember to bring: Purchased items, Original retailer invoice\/receipt, Your physical passport, and Boarding pass\/confirmed air ticket.<\/div>
