Each year, tech companies flock to Las Vegas to attend the annual Consumer Electronics Show to display their innovative products and latest research. CES is a leading tech event in the world, and at its 2023 iteration, more than 3200 exhibitors, including 1,000 startups, showcased their products to over 100,000 in-person attendees.
From Singapore, the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (ASME) and Enterprise Singapore supported numerous Singaporean companies and start-ups to exhibit at the Consumer Electronics Show 2023. These Singapore-based companies unveiled a slew of innovative products spanning MedTech, F&B, Pet Care, autonomous vehicle technology, EVs, and IoT applications.
Here are a few companies from Singapore that exhibited at this year’s CES tradeshow.
Aevice Health
Aevice Health Pte. Ltd. is a Singaporean MedTech company that focuses on cutting-edge technology for chronic respiratory diseases. The start-up is a spin-off from Nanyang Technological University, which is ranked #1 in Singapore and #19 in the QS World University Rankings 2023.
Their team recently exhibited at CES 2023 in booth 60849 of Tech West at the Venetian Expo at the LVCC in Las Vegas. Their featured product: AeviceMD, the world’s smallest wearable stethoscope for patients with respiratory diseases, won the CES 2023 Innovation Award in the “Best of Innovation” and “Digital Health” categories.
AeviceMD is a non-invasive wearable device that is AI-powered to detect abnormal lung sounds in diseases like asthma and COPD. The medical technology firm is currently based in District 13 Macpherson, and it raised SG$ 2.8 million in a pre-Series A round of funding in June 2021, with Toho Holdings, Pureland Group Venture, Silicon Solutions Partners, AIP Ventures, and SEEDS Capital of Enterprise Singapore participating.

Akronym Pte Ltd (Morning)
Akronym Pte Ltd is a Singapore-based food and beverage start-up founded by coffee pioneer Leon Foo and Taiwan-based manufacturing expert Bowen Chiou.
Singapore-born Foo took a coffee course in Melbourne, Australia, in 2008, and the next year he established “Papa Palheta,” a small-batch specialty coffee roaster on Hooper Road. They sourced, roasted, and served specialty coffee and eventually changed their name to PPP Coffee. Their flagship store, “Chye Seng Huat Hardware,” is an icon in the local café landscape.
He launched “The Morning Machine” on Kickstarter in September 2020, and it was an instant success. The idea of a coffee capsule machine that combined professional level precision features, IoT capabilities, and a marketplace for coffee roasters was cherished by coffee lovers.
In August 2021, they closed a pre-series A round of funding, bagging $1.27 million with zVentures as their lead investor. They also raised $5 million in a Series A round led by East Ventures last year, in June 2022.
Currently, Morning has sold over 3,000 machines in over 25 countries, and their app is a repository for 1K+ roaster recipes developed by leading coffee roasters.

Curium Pte Ltd
Founded in April 2020, Curium Pte Ltd. is a deep-tech start-up that specialises in automated sensor calibration technology for semi- and fully-autonomous vehicles. Located at 77 Ayer Rajah Crescent, #01-32, Singapore 139954, the company’s platform offers calibration-as-a-service (CaaS) in multiple sensor types like vision, LiDAR, radar, and inertial sensors.
Curium exhibited their C2E (Curium Calibration Edge) technology at CES 2023 at Booth 60849 of the Singapore Pavilion. C2E ensures that multiple sensor types operate at their best by performing multi-sensor EoL (End of Line) and CDC (Continuous Dynamic Calibrations) almost instantly, making autonomous driving a reality.
Apart from grant funding from Enterprise Singapore (a government agency) and the European Union, Curium has raised SGD 1.2 million in seed round funding from Elev8.vc, a B2B-focused VC fund based in Singapore.

Founded in 2011, Oaxis Asia Pte Ltd. is a product design company headquartered in Singapore. OAXIS is the brand owner of “myFirst”, a kid’s technology ecosystem brand that designs a watchphone, camera, drawing, and audio collection for kids and teens.
The company exhibited and showcased their latest products at booth 54555 of the Venetian Expo, Tech West, LVCC. Noco-Noco Pte. Ltd. is a Singapore-based zero-carbon solution provider, and they successfully concluded their first CES event, drawing over 1000 visitors to their Eureka Park Booth 50355 and Japan Tech Project Booth 62633.
At CES 2023, they recreated a smart battery living room exhibiting efficient home energy management. Their RCT (Rhizome | Cell | Tsunagu/Tsumugu) communication system is modelled after the communication network of plants, reinforcing their commitment to decarbonization.
Their parent company is Japan-based 3DOM Alliance, specialising in carbon neutrality, electric vehicles, carbon neutral leasing, battery components, IoT, separators, edge computing, smart homes, and smart cities.

ALR Technologies
ALR Technologies is a data management company founded in Richmond, VA, in 1987 that developed the ALRT Diabetes Solution, which provides remote monitoring for diabetic patients. Its parent company, ALR Technologies SG Ltd., was founded in May 2020 and is headquartered in Singapore.
The company exhibited their “GluCurve Pet CGM” product at CES 2023 in booth number 55149 in Tech West, Venetian Expo, Level 2, Hall A-D, LVCC. Hailed as the first and only continuous glucose monitor for diabetic cats and dogs, GluCurve Pet CGM commercialization is expected to start in 2023.
